Tim Nies

Tim Nies, a Veteran of the elite Army Rangers, and a former insurance company lead trial attorney cares about winning. Tim is known by fellow attorneys and clients as a warrior who fights tirelessly for his clients' rights and well-being. Tim focus on personal injury law, maritime law and divorce law. 

Sarah Senecal

Sarah is our senior paralegal. She has been working in the legal field for over nineteen years. Sarah joined Van Riper & Nies in May 2010. She has specialized experience in not only divorce and personal injury cases, but also in the litigation of claims under the Longshore & Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and the United States Defense Base Act. Sarah uses her considerable litigation experience and superior customer service experience to fight for the rights of the firm’s clients.

Chris Van Riper

Chris Van Riper, is a former prosecutor, and a DCF investigator. Chris focuses on criminal defense, family law, including divorce, domestic disputes, orders of protection, and child custody. 

Sandra Skrzypiec

Sandra is an experienced and passionate paralegal. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Indian River State College in 2019. Sandra assists the attorneys in criminal defense, family law, dependency actions and personal injury cases.
